Digital Office Hours

Digital Office Hours

There will be no coaching sessions on:

  • June 12th
  • July 3rd & 10th

As of February, 2019, CreativeStandUp will have weekly office hours as a way of working individually with students. During office hours students can get free, one-on-one help with their material as well as ask writing or performance questions.

One-on-one coaching is completely private. You do not have to share any material with other students. All you have to do is go to the CreativeStandUp Facebook page and send Jared a message during office hours to participate. Just come ready with a piece of material you’d like to work on.

You can also ask general writing and performance questions. Questions can be anything from “How do I stay motivated when writing?” to simply “Can you talk more about…?” Since office hours are limited, the general questions will usually be answered later on. This way Jared can devote time to collaborating live with students instead of answering questions that could be answered later. If Jared answers your Q&A publicly, only your first name will be used.

Office hours will be 60 minutes long and time will be distributed equally among anyone who shows up. We average 2-3 students per session.

Check this page to see if there have been any changes to our office hours. Office hours for the following month will appear on this page toward the end of the current month. If you want to participate but are unable to make it during these hours, let Jared know your time zone so that future changes can be made.

AUGUST OFFICE HOURS

  • Wednesdays @ 19:45-20:45 (EST)

SEPTEMBER OFFICE HOURS

  • Wednesdays @ 19:45-20:45 (EST)

WHAT IF YOU CAN’T MAKE THE TIME?

You can still ask general writing and performance questions if you’re unable to make the office hours. Simply click reply to an email or ask your question through the contact form.

Pre-Meeting Checklist

  • First-Time Students: Have your receipt ready showing that you have purchased one of our programs (Playfully Inappropriate, Faster & Funnier, or Creativity For Comedians).
  • Go to the CreativeStandUp Facebook page during office hours and then use the messaging feature to contact Jared directly.
  • It’s a good idea to bring a piece of material that you want to work on. Smaller bits work best. 2-3 minutes is ideal. Jared cannot help with longer sets as that will take away from the time other students will get.
  • Any specific questions you have about writing or performing.
